Some text messages you never forget.
Mine came from my longtime friend and WCCO TV anchor Heather Brown: “Congrats on your Emmy nomination.” That’s right: The Crisis Files is a 2026 Upper Midwest Emmy® nominee!
Our Emmy entry in the Talk Program category featured a composite of candid, courageous conversations about navigating crises with Alison Brown (Science Museum of Minnesota), George Esbensen (Minnesota Firefighter Initiative), and Ken Barlow (KSTP-TV / Hubbard Broadcasting).
I’m deeply grateful to my small-but-mighty team, our show partners, guests, and loyal audience.
As we launch Season 5, this milestone affirms and fuels our commitment to exploring how to better navigate challenges, spark change, and move forward.
Thank you for being part of the journey. Keep your fingers crossed for us on October 17, 2026, when winners are announced.
